Argonne Cnm Building
Created in cooperation between the State of Illinois, University of Chicago and the Defense Department, The Argonne National Lab Center for Nanofabrication is a research facility for the smallest workable particles. Equipped with state of the art clean rooms, this facility required a meticulous roof installation. In conjunction with Walsh Construction, the general contractor for the project, and LEED recommendations, a fully adhered Firestone PVC roof system was installed over two layers of insulation over a vapor barrier over a concrete deck. This roof system achieved the necessary performance requirements as well as contributed to the LEED qualification of the building. |
