Woodman’s Foods – No. Aurora
Based in Madison, Wisconsin, this is the third Woodman’s Grocery Store to be located in Illinois. As a result of successful prior openings in Rockford and Carpentersville, Clint Woodman, principle of the employee owned company, flew over the western suburbs recently and said “I want our next store there!” to a location just off the I-88/Orchard Road interchange in North Aurora. Normally serving a 20 mile radius, this facility will be the largest grocer serving the North Aurora/Aurora/Batavia/Sugar Grove region. Olsson Roofing was hired by Building Systems, Inc. to install a fully adhered EPDM roofing system over two layers of 1.5” polyisocyanurate insulation achieving an R value of 18, meeting the International Energy Code. Olsson also install the metal roofing and composite panel fascia systems for the trademark building design. Like many other retail facilities, the fully adhered roofing system provided a well performing lightweight assembly allowing a lighter structure and less costly steel framing. |
